CoveBear Adopts A Snow Leopard January 1, 2010

World Wildlife Fund

SNOW LEOPARD - ENDANGERED SPECIES

Inhabiting the rugged, mountainous terrain of Central Asia and the Himalayan region, snow leopards have long hind limbs and shortened front limbs, which allow them to leap 20 to 50 feet through the air. The diet of these cats varies by region and season, but consists mostly of wild sheep and goats, and smaller animals such as pikas, zokors and marmots. Snow leopards are threatened by habitat loss, diminished food supply, hunting for the illegal wildlife trade and revenge killings by herders. WWF works with local people and supports research and habitat conservation projects to protect these beautiful cats throughout their range. - WWF

CoveBear Educational Documentaries Now

In Post-Production

Three new programs are being worked on at CoveBear, starting off

the New Year in what Kate Marshall describes as "magical" and "exciting."

The first DVD's planned release will be early in 2010, tentatively entitled

"SEASON OF THE BEAR, Volume 3: True Bear Stories"

which promises to be a very interesting program.

Four bear experts in the Southeastern U.S.

share their experiences with seeing wild bears up close.

Coming from five different areas of the bear world,

these guests tell us bear stories that are true,

funny, surprising, heart-tugging.

The teller of true tales are a wildlife biologist,

a bear rehabilitation caretaker, a painter/author/columnist,

another wildlife biologist, and a wildlife photographer.

True to its mission to promote a better understanding of bears,

Kate Marshall Graphics, Inc. and the folks at CoveBear will

invite you to walk with them again on their journey to learning

as much as they can about bears.

For this third in the series about bears, they will deliver the same

beauty and knowledge as they did on the first two programs.

The next DVD's planned release will be in January 2011,

tentatively entitled "SEASON OF THE BEAR, Volume 4:

Understanding Bears." A description of this video will be

provided as we get further along.

Also on the drawing board in 2010, "Spring Wildflowers of the

Southern Appalachian Mountains" - watch for more

news about this long-awaited beauty!

CoveBear BEAR DVD's Get A New Design in 2010!

Slight changes have been made to KMG's bear DVD covers in 2010

that will enhance their look on the shelf in your home and in the store!

Spectrum colors on the spines and the addition of bar codes will

play a major part in the redesign.
